What To Expect When Working With Me
If you’re new to natural medicine, it’s essential to understand that your experience with me will be vastly different from what you may be accustomed to with your GP. A fundamental principle of natural medicine is to treat the person as a whole, rather than just addressing symptoms. This is why our journey together begins with a comprehensive exploration of your overall health.
By examining your diet, lifestyle, and symptoms, and incorporating necessary laboratory tests, we will collaborate to identify and treat the root cause of your issues
and support your overall well-being and optimally nourish your body to stay assertive, sharp-minded, strong, fit, and in good shape well into your mature years. Finding the right plan for you is crucial—there is no 'one-size-fits-all' solution. The process may require time and patience, but I will guide you every step of the way. Utilising a science-led approach, I will connect the dots to develop a personalised program that delivers the best results for you.
HOW IT WORKS
Understanding the whole you
Step 1
Our initial consultation typically lasts about 90 minutes.
During this time, I will ask numerous questions to build a comprehensive picture of your overall health, which will help uncover the root cause of your concerns.
We will discuss your medical history, current diet and lifestyle and review any conventional medications you are taking. To provide a clearer understanding of your dietary habits, it can be beneficial to keep a food diary for three days prior to our consultation.
Step 2
Creating your plan
Once I have all the necessary information, I will create a personalized plan tailored specifically to you.
This plan will encompass all aspects of your life to give your body the best chance to thrive. It will include guidance on diet and lifestyle, and, if needed, recommendations for supplements and additional testing.
Step 3
Over to your
Now it’s time to put the plan into action.
I recommend keeping a diary to track what aspects of the plan are effective and identify areas that may need adjustments.

Step 4
Follow Up
Your follow-up appointment, scheduled approximately four to six weeks after our initial consultation, will focus on refining your plan and to support your overall well-being to stay assertive, sharp-minded, strong, fit, and in good shape sustainably. The package includes one 60-minute follow-up appointment, with additional follow-up appointments available for purchase separately.

At the end of the appointment, Petra will spend some time explaining her understanding of your case, and you will leave the session with a clear understanding of why you are getting the symptoms you are, and most importantly, with a clear plan of how to address this. You will be sent a comprehensive plan within five working days, which will provide you with individualised recommendations based around your diet, lifestyle changes, supplementation (if necessary). Note: You will be sent a questionnaire and three-day food diary to complete in advance of the consultation, to ensure that the focus remains on key areas of the case history during the appointment. Depending on your case, Petra may recommend some further testing to gain a deeper insight into the imbalances driving your symptoms. She will discuss this with you in your consultation where appropriate. **All consultations to be had within 2 months from the start date of the programme. **The cost of supplements or functional testing (if needed) is at an additional cost and not included in the package price.
